Scav started with a simple frustration: the technology connecting us was keeping us indoors. We built Scav to flip that — to use the same platforms and mechanics that drive screen addiction to instead drive real-world adventure and community.
We're building the infrastructure for the real world. One hunt at a time.
The Team
Co-founded CLS Sustainable (22 states, 100MW+) and RGS Energy, serving clients including the Dallas Cowboys, Dometic, Igloo, and Sherwin-Williams. Bootstrapped both from zero before a 2025 acquisition by NFL Hall of Famer Emmitt Smith's 4 13 Solutions. Serial builder. Fort Worth native.
Serial builder · Fort Worth nativeAssociate Professor of Urban Geography at TCU. PhD from UC Santa Barbara. Expert in GIS, digital cartography, and urban data systems — the academic backbone of Scav's map and location engine.
GIS expert · TCU · Mapping infrastructureLeft banking to co-found Woody Creek Bar-B-Q — growing it from a food truck to a Fort Worth institution with nearly two decades of community presence. Avid outdoorsman who hiked the Pacific Crest Trail. His network IS our launch strategy.
Community network · PCT hikerThe Story
Scav was built in Fort Worth by entrepreneurs who've spent their careers building things that connect communities to infrastructure. Kevin built solar networks across 22 states. Jimmy built a BBQ institution that became a Fort Worth landmark. Sean built the academic frameworks that map how cities actually work.
When it came time to build Scav, we applied the same discipline. We got the MVP to a functional, launchable product for under $5K — not because we had to, but because that's how we build. Lean, deliberate, and without burning other people's money to find out if an idea works.
We're not chasing venture money to figure out if people want this. We're launching in Summer 2026 because we know they do. Scav isn't just another app — it's the infrastructure for real-world connection, starting in Fort Worth and built for everywhere.
We're building the beta team now. Join the waitlist or reach out directly.
Communities
Scav isn't one-size-fits-all. Every community gets its own maps, leaderboards, and hunts built around how they already explore the world.
Route-based hunts, group leaderboards, and Strava-style segment challenges. Hunt checkpoints are built into your run — not added onto it.
Trail hunts, summit badges, and wilderness exploration maps. Scav turns every trail into a discovery — with rewards waiting at the top.
Cross-country route hunts, stealth camping spot discovery, and a community map built by and for the people living in their rigs.
Park-to-park hunt networks, campground community leaderboards, and family adventure challenges that make every trip a game.
Course challenges, club leaderboards, and sponsor-backed rewards. Scav turns every round into a competition beyond just the scorecard.
Segment hunts, flow trail discovery, and ride crew rankings. Every descent is a hunt. Every summit is a checkpoint.
We're building new community maps every month. Tell us what tribe you belong to and we'll build it for you.
Tell us your communityHow It Works
Scav is built around four moments: the creation, the chase, the competition, and the reward. Every hunt moves through all four.
Anyone can create a hunt in seconds — drop geo-located clues on the map, set prizes, invite your crew or make it public. Or browse active hunts in your area and jump in. Financial hunts with real prize pools are created by local businesses, brands, and Scav itself.
Navigate using Scav's live map — find clues, unlock locations, and coordinate with your team. Sponsored stops appear as you move through the city, unlocking discounts and rewards from local businesses just for showing up. The city becomes the game board.
Every hunt feeds into real-time leaderboards — team vs. team, city vs. city, community vs. community. Runners track against runners. Hikers rank against hikers. The competition is always meaningful because it's always within your tribe.
Badges, discounts, and cash prizes from local businesses and brand sponsors. Financial hunts can pay out from $500 local events to $1M national competitions. Rewards aren't points — they're real value redeemable at real places in your community.

For Businesses & Teams
Whether you're a local business looking to drive foot traffic or a company building a culture worth showing up for — Scav has a track built for you.
Get pinned on the Scav map as a sponsored stop. Hunters find you, redeem rewards, and come back. It's foot traffic you can measure — not a billboard you hope works.
Replace the awkward trust fall with a city-wide scavenger hunt your team won't stop talking about. Custom hunts built around your brand, your city, and your people.
Financial Hunts
Scav's financial hunt ecosystem scales from neighborhood competitions to nationally televised events. Every level is open to anyone — all you need is the app and the will to move.
Every city hunt builds the leaderboard. Every regional event builds the audience. Every national event builds the brand. The ecosystem is designed to scale — and every participant starts at the local level.

For Investors
Scav is raising a $250K seed round via SAFE at a $4M valuation cap. We're launching in Summer 2026 with or without it. This round is for investors who want to be in early.
Why Now
Screen time is at an all-time high. Loneliness is at an all-time high. And Gen Z is actively seeking IRL experiences. Pokémon Go proved 232 million people will go outside for the right incentive — but left billions in community value on the table. Scav is what comes next.
Why This Team
Kevin Warren bootstrapped two companies to acquisition by NFL Hall of Famer Emmitt Smith. Sean Crotty built the geographic data frameworks Scav runs on. Jimmy Neeley's Fort Worth network IS the launch strategy. And Kevin has existing C-suite relationships with Dometic and Igloo — two of the biggest outdoor brands in the country.
